World Cup Pulse (“the App”) is developed and operated by Owlmyst. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • AI chat messages: Questions you ask the AI about matches, players, and standings.
  • Preferences: Your selected league and favorite team (stored locally on your device).

1.2 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized, non-identifiable data about how you interact with the App (e.g., features used, session duration) to improve performance and user experience.

1.3 Device Information

We collect basic device identifiers (device type, operating system version) for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide the core functionality of the App, including live match scores and AI-powered chat responses.
  • Route AI chat requests to our language model service for processing.
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve App performance.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose not listed above.

3. AI Chat Processing

World Cup Pulse uses an AI language model to answer your questions about football matches, players, and tournaments. When you send a message:

  1. Your message is securely transmitted over an encrypted connection to our AI service.
  2. The AI processes your question and returns a response.
  3. Messages are not retained on our servers after the response is delivered to your device.

We may use aggregated, fully anonymized chat data (never linked to your identity) to improve AI model quality.

4. Third-Party Services

To operate the App, we use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob Rewarded video ads (free tier)
App Store / Google Play App distribution and payment processing

5. Data Retention

  • AI chat messages are deleted immediately after the response is returned and are never stored long-term.
  • Preferences (league selection, favorite team) are stored locally on your device and never transmitted.
  • Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

You may request deletion of all your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data transmitted between the App and our servers. We follow security best practices to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Children’s Privacy

World Cup Pulse is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify you via the App or email.
